Looking forward to rejoining you on Sept 2nd. Is the September trip still on. If so what are the dates?

Indoor Meetings. We have indoor meetings every Wednesday evening during the club year, September to April, starting at 7:45pm. We offer members a varied programme of talks and presentations on a variety of topics, some from guest speakers and some from within the club’s own ranks where knowledge sharing is the aim. We also have practical sessions on some evenings and plenty of opportunities for for members to show their work. Have a look at our Club Diary

We organise weekend and evening outings to various interesting locations.

We encourage participation and knowledge sharing but you are free to take as active a part as you want in the club’s activities.

Where? Meetings are held in the Aboyne and Mid-Deeside Community Shed. They are primarily in-person social events but we do also share the meetings on Zoom for participants who cannot make it to the Community Shed. If you are not sure where to find us, have a look at our Where and When page

Assignments. During the club year we run 6 Assignments where each member can submit 3 images on a set theme. The images are then judged and feedback is provided by the judge in a group session. These sessions are always very popular with members and include a mildly competitive element but more importantly the aim is to provide constructive feedback on the images so that members gain new skills and explore different genres with confidence.Have a look at our Assignments page.

Special Interest Groups. We also run a number of Special Interest Groups such as Urban, Wildlife, Landscape and Portrait, with arranged photo shoots and on location meet-ups at weekends. These offer opportunities to get your camera out and learn new skills. They are very popular and have become  a key activity for the club.

Facebook Group. We have a member only Facebook group. This is often the best way to keep in touch with other members between meetings. We have a weekly photo challenge on the Facebook group which is very popular and a great way for members to share images. There is also a public Facebook page to showcase the group’s activities to a wider audience.
